This game gives a lot of hope and shows that no matter what the devs might say you shouldn’t believe them. I believe the worse thing about the original trilogy was the fact that we were left with the message that the history was complete and there were no plans for another Deponia game. The ending still isn’t a good one and in the end you might feel trolled by the devs but I thought it was much more compelling cause this time you were actually given a reason why things have to end the way they did. With the release of Deponia Doomsday I feel like the tides have turned and there is no longer a reason to be filled with despair. I think part of the reason why people were so mad was because the ending just hits you, it comes out of nowhere. I wasn’t really mad with how Deponia 3 has ended but obviously felt disappointed. That said, I am also one of those suckers who wants a happy ending no matter what but at the same time can take a hit and deal with a bad one. If you are looking for a “lived happily ever after” kind of ending than the short answer is still a no. Thanks in advance to those mature enough to give me a straight answer, it means a lot. Does Doomsday do a somewhat decent ending that makes the series worthwhile overall? I'm not interested in debating the merits of how fun the gameplay is up to that point, I want honest opinions about how the ending affects the tone of the overall story. So, shoot straight, leave the spoilers out as much as possible. I like my comedies funny and my tragedies morose. No thanks, I'm too old for that now and wouldn't rather spend more of my time having uplifting experiences. Should I play Goodbye and Doomsday? I'm ok with an imperfect ending or even a weird one, but I really am no interested in wasting 30 hours of my life on two more games that just end up with a sad or depressing ending. Yes yes yes, I'm one of THOSE guys that the ending can make or break the whole game for me. I found out that the ending wasn't exactly a "happily ever after" kinda ending. I was very excited about playing Goodbye but then read a little bit about it. I played Deponia and Chaos and loved both of them. Ok Ok, so please, flamers try to stay out of this one, I'm just looking for some respectful minimal spoiler advice responses.
